Brazilian striker Vitor Roque (20) could be set for a return to Europe, with Manchester United reportedly preparing a €50m bid for the Palmeiras forward, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 20-year-old has rediscovered his best form since returning to Brazil, enjoying a prolific campaign with the São Paulo club. Roque has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in the current league season, playing a central role in Palmeiras’ title challenge.
After struggling to make an impact in Spain during previous stints with Barcelona and Real Betis, Roque’s renaissance in his homeland has reignited European interest. Manchester United are said to view him as a long-term attacking solution as they look to add pace and clinical finishing to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
United are not alone in their pursuit, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also said to be monitoring the player closely. However, it remains to be seen whether these clubs will make a move in January or will opt to wait until the summer.
