In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are hoping to sign the Polish striker on a free transfer this summer.
Lewandowski has enjoyed a good run of form at the Catalan club as he has managed to put in a run of productive displays for them in the final third. The Poland international has banged in 17 goals and earned four assists in 41 matches for Barcelona this season on all fronts.
The 37-year-old remains a great finisher in front of the opposition’s goal. Thus, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting him this off-season.
His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out at the end of this campaign, which could make it difficult for Man United to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Lewandowski is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net and is a strong runner with the ball at his feet.
Standing at 1.86m, the Polish forward can use his strong frame to win a few important aerial duels for his team. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to get a deal done for him this summer.
We can expect Lewandowski to enhance the quality of Man United boss Michael Carrick’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.
At 37, Lewandowski has only got a year or two left in him to play at his best. He has got the experience and skill set to help the Mancunian giants compete for some major trophies over the next couple of years. Plus, Lewandowski is on an expiring contract at the Catalan club, so it makes sense for Carrick to go for him this summer.
