Garnacho moved to the Old Trafford club as a youth player from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and was widely considered a future Man United star.

However, he fell out with Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim after blasting the Portuguese for not starting him in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea have had him on their radar for a while and have finally got their hands on their man.

Garnacho is at their home ground to watch his soon-to-be new teammates take on Fulham and should be available for selection after the international break.

The Blues are back in Premier League action on September 13 away from home at Brentford, and Garnacho will be looking forward to making his debut for them.

With Man United failing to secure European football following a woeful 2024-25 campaign, joining the Club World Cup champions, who are playing in the Champions League always appealed to the 21-year-old.

He will now hope to hit the ground running but will face fierce competition for playing chances given the plethora of attacking options available to manager Enzo Maresca.

Man United dropped him from their squad before pre-season, leaving him behind when they went on tour of the United States, and he was training away from the rest of the first-team.

Garnacho has yet to kick a ball this season and was not included in the last Argentina squad, but he will be ready to play after the international break.

He was an undisputed starter at a time at Man United, but he lost his place towards the end of last season and will have to be on top of his game to force his way into the Chelsea starting XI.
