Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire has not made the England squad for the 2026 World Cup, according to journalists Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs.
He has been a key player for the Red Devils this term, making 24 appearances across all competitions.
However, Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel has opted not to take Maguire to the World Cup next month.
The official list is expected to be released soon, and some of Maguire’s Man United teammates are expected to be on it.
Marcus Rashford, currently on loan with Barcelona, is set to be part of the squad after impressing in Spain.
Kobbie Mainoo is also heading to the World Cup after some impressive performances under Michael Carrick in recent months.
Tuchel is considering calling up Chelsea defender Levi Colwill to the squad in place of Maguire.
The 23-year-old has made just three competitive appearances for the Blues this season, having suffered a serious knee injury on the eve of the soon-to-end campaign.
Maguire earned his first call-up for England in 2017, representing his country at the last two World Cups and the 2020 European Championship before injury kept him out of Euro 2024.
He has 66 caps to his name, but may have played his last game for England.
Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa and Manchester City’s Marc Guehi are likely to be the country’s centre-back pairing at the World Cup, with John Stones expected to provide cover if selected.
England begin their World Cup campaign on June 17 against Croatia in Group L before facing Ghana and Panama.
