Manchester United are eyeing a potential summer move for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, according to Sky Sports.
Man United want attacking reinforcements at the Old Trafford club as manager Michael Carrick looks to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Fernandez-Pardo has emerged as a target for the Red Devils and more suitors could emerge for the Belgium international if he impresses at the World Cup.
The 21-year-old striker contributed eight goals and five assists for Lille in 29 league appearances last term after weighing in with four goals and three assists in 22 league games in 2024-25.
Fernandez-Pardo can play as a number 9, on both wings and even as a number 10, and Man United could do with his versatility.
The Red Devils could look to add a versatile forward this summer depending on the potential departure of Joshua Zirkzee, and the Belgian fits the bill.
Zirkzee’s exit is not guaranteed as he has been a positive influence around the Man United dressing room since his arrival at the club in 2024.
He missed out on a World Cup spot with the Netherlands having failed to play and impress regularly with the Red Devils, and he has to decide if he wants to remain at Man United beyond this summer.
It is believed Zirkzee wants to stay and fight for his place, and Carrick may need to still go ahead and sign another forward as he needs attacking depth and quality to impress in the Champions League next season.
Brentford striker Igor Thiago is also reportedly on the radar of the Red Devils after the 24-year-old Brazil international bagged 25 goals across all competitions in 2025-26.
However, a move for the Bees hitman will only be pursued if Zirkzee leaves Man United before the end of the summer transfer window.
