Liam Rosenior has said Cole Palmer is a part of Chelsea's long-term plans amid speculation over a potential move to Manchester United.

Palmer has been linked with Manchester United this week, with various reports that the 23-year-old is 'homesick' in London and keen to return to the North West.

The England international has evolved into one of the Premier League's top talents atChelsea, after joining the club from Manchester City in 2023.

Palmer has scored 48 goals in 110 games forChelsea across all competitions but has struggled with fitness issues this season.

The midfielder sat out of the midweek win over Pafos in the Champions Leagueas a pre-caution and has started just 10 Premier League games in 2025-26.

Rosenior has now dismissed suggestions that Palmer is unsettled at Stamford Bridge. Speaking to the media at his press conference, ahead of this weekend's fixture against Crystal Palace, theChelsea head coach insisted Palmer is 'happy' at the club and a key part of the 'long-term plans'.

He also confirmed Palmer's availability to feature at Selhurst Park this weekend, after resuming training with the main group.

"I've had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems very happy to be here. He is very happy to be here," he said.

"He's a huge part of our long-term plans. He is an outstanding player and every player in their career will go through difficult spells with injury.

"My job and the club's job is to get him into a situation where he can consistently perform to the level he wants to. There was frustration in the Brentford game, but that was from him being in pain and not able to perform at highest possible level.

"We need to look after him and that's why I didn't involve him in the last game."
