Manchester United make enquiries over deal to sign Bournemouth’s Alex Scott | OneFootball

Manchester United are interested in signing Bournemouth star Alex Scott in the ongoing summer transfer window. 

According to The Athletic, Bournemouth are trying hard to tie him down to a fresh deal, with his current contract expiring in 2028. 

The 22-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2025-26 season, making 37 Premier League appearances and scoring three goals. 

Scott has become as one of the best young midfielders in England. 

He has already made 89 senior appearances for Bournemouth, impressing with his ball-carrying skills, tactical versatility and defensive diligence. 

With Champions League football back on the agenda, Man Utd are looking to strengthen their ranks this summer. 

They have already agreed a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, and the transfer will likely be announced in July. 

But with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte expected to be sold, the club need more reinforcements in midfield for next season. 

West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes remains United’s priority target, but their staggering £80m asking price is making negotiations difficult.

Scott is an alternative option. However, he is highly rated by Bournemouth, and they will demand a substantial fee for a transfer.
