Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has praised Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha.
The Red Devils spent £62.5 million to bring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford from Wolverhampton Wanderers in June.
Cunha has tallied just one goal contribution in ten games for the Red Devils, but he has been an ever-present threat in their attack.
Amorim loves what he has been seeing from the Brazil international and is pleased to have signed him.
“Cunha is a maverick,” the Man United boss told Men in Blazers. “Cunha does things that are hard to find in some players, because he plays with the ball.
But he has an aura that can do something to the opponents’ heads, and that is really important.”
Cunha has been working hard behind the scenes, working on free-kicks and set-pieces with Man United captain Bruno Fernandes.
He has also improved his emotional control and confidence under the guidance of the Portuguese midfielder.
The Red Devils visit Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, and they will be looking to leave with all three points.
Spurs have struggled at home this term, which could give Man United a massive chance of winning on Saturday. The two sides are level on points heading into the game.
Both clubs have scored the same number of goals (17), but the Red Devils have conceded 16 goals, while Spurs have shipped eight. Their respective defences could be key to the game.
