Manchester United has reportedly made Sandro Tonali a top priority to strengthen their midfield during the upcoming summer transfer window. According to The Telegraph, the English club views the Italian midfielder from Newcastle as the perfect fit to succeed Casemiro, whose future at Old Trafford appears increasingly uncertain.

Signed in 2023 for around €65 million, Tonali could now cost significantly more. Newcastle is reportedly set to demand close to €120 million—a sum in line with recent record-breaking transfers for midfielders. Despite growing interest, the player remains committed to his club and their Champions League ambitions.

His agent, Giuseppe Riso, has also played down the speculation:

Between the Premier League and Serie A, an intense battle is brewing, but Manchester United seems ready to make a major move. Source: The Telegraph.
