Ruben Amorim is desperate to freshen up a forward line which has produced just 19 goals across 30 games so far this season.

It's a miserable return given the steep investment, with £110million striker pairing Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee scoring just five goals between them.

Amorim has confirmed United will have to sell before they can buy, meaning Zirkzee, who only joined in the summer, could depart less than six months after arriving.

Marcus Rashford is out of favour and confirmed his own desire for a "new challenge" after an underwhelming 18 months at Old Trafford.

Juventus have been linked with Zirkzee, who last season impressed at Serie A rivals Bologna under manager Thiago Motta who is now in Turin. This could play into United's hands with former Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic reportedly of interest.

Vlahovic has 12 goals for the Old Lady this season but CaughtOffside report that he has been offered to a number of Premier League teams as Juve look to cash in on a player whose contract expires in 18 months and may not be offered an extension.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani is also of interest and The Athletic report that United are actively exploring taking the 26-year-old on loan for the rest of the season. Tottenham and Juve are also interested.

Kolo Muani moved to PSG for £76m in 2023 after scoring 23 goals in 46 appearances during his debut season with Eintracht Frankfurt, but has failed to live up to expectations since.

The final striker target for United is Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray after being frozen out by Napoli.

There were reports that Osimhen was open to moving to Old Trafford after United made contact with the Serie A side. However, La Repubblica has now claimed the striker rejected those advances much to the annoyance Napoli, who are desperate for him to leave permanently.
