The final week of the window is likely to keep Manchester United busy with the club currently trying to wrap up multiple deals before the deadline.

The priority at the moment seems to be trying to move players on with the club having accepted an offer from Napoli for Scott McTominay.

A pay-off might be needed to get the Scot to leave while personal terms are also yet to be agreed which means there is work left on that front.

Hannibal Mejbri has agreed to permanently join Burnley despite initial talks of a loan with an obligation to buy. This significantly strengthens United’s FFP concerns as two academy graduates represent pure profit.

Multiple player departures

Jadon Sancho’s departure is likely to be tricky with quite a few sides in the race with Bayern Munich the latest to be linked with the Englishman.

On the incoming front, the Red Devils are desperately trying to agree a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for their defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

While a few reports have stated that a move is close, there is a likelihood that the deal drags on till deadline day due to certain issues which are yet to be resolved.

United had spent over €160 million on the four transfers before the deal for the Uruguayan and expectations were that United would not be conducting any further business with regards to recruitment.

But that might not be the case if transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is to be believed. The Italian has suggested that the 20-time English league champions remain open to market opportunities should they come their way.

Last-minute signings?

“In terms of other business, it will depend. Maybe some player leaves, there could still be space for something last minute for Manchester United,” he told Givemesport.

“Nothing 100% confirmed yet, so Man United will decide [this] week based on opportunities, but I would keep the door always open for last minute opportunities.”

Left-back is an area that requires attention with the club currently without a senior specialist in that position. Saturday’s last-minute goal was conceded partly due to the lack of a left-back.

Whether a loan opportunity will be grabbed or if another attacker is brought in remains to be seen. The final days will be worth keeping an eye on for United fans.
