As if by clockwork, Manchester United have sacked their manager and have been linked with a former Chelsea boss right away!
This is a very predictable story and one that I fully expected to see the moment the news came through this morning that Manchester United had sacked Ruben Amorim as their head coach. This one was all boiling up, right? Just like Enzo Maresca and Chelsea.
The Blues look set to hire Liam Rosenior from Strasbourg as their next head coach to go forward with, but where will United turn now?
Well, could Maresca now head to Old Trafford seeing as he is now out of work? The obvious links have begun.

Alex Crook of talkSPORT has just posted on his X, he says:
“#MUFC not ruling out Fletcher as interim for the rest of the season but situation described as ‘fluid’. Maresca has close links with Wilcox and Berrada and is admired. McKenna was also a strong contender pre-Amorim. Other PL proven options include Glasner and Iraola.”
As well as this, FourFourTwo are reporting that Manchester United are expected to make a move for recently out-of-work Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.
I believe that there might be something to this. Everyone thinks Maresca is waiting on Manchester City in the summer but maybe he fancies jumping back into management right away?
I think he would sooner move to City and take on the amazing squad they have there, but I can see the United job potentially appealing to him as well despite that club being in even more of a mess than Chelsea right now!
Let’s see what happens.
