Manchester United continue their pre-season schedule on Friday with an away clash against Rosenborg, marking their second friendly of the summer.

The Red Devils ended last season on a high under Michael Carrick, collecting 12 wins, three draws, and just two losses to finish third in the Premier League. Despite that impressive run, they have not carried much of that momentum into the new campaign.

Their pre-season began with an unexpected 1-0 defeat to Wrexham in Helsinki last weekend. At this stage, Carrick’s main priorities remain improving match fitness and testing tactical setups, especially as several senior players are still returning gradually after participating in the World Cup.

Michael Carrick has named a 25-man squad for the trip to Norway to face Rosenborg. While several high-profile players are still unavailable following their international duties, the travelling group still includes a solid core of first-team options.

New signing Andrey Santos is likely to feature again in midfield as he continues to settle into the system. He may be joined by young talent Tyler Fletcher if Mason Mount is given a rest for this fixture.

In terms of injuries, striker Benjamin Šeško is unavailable due to a shin problem, while defender Matthijs de Ligt continues his recovery from recent back surgery. Backup goalkeeper Karl Darlow is also sidelined after undergoing a minor procedure.
