In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United want to re-sign Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo. It has been stated that the Portuguese talent is open to sealing a move back to the Mancunian club this summer.

Ronaldo’s Impressive Form In Saudi Club

The 40-year-old is having a productive campaign at the Saudi club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. Ronaldo has banged in 18 goals and earned three assists in 22 matches for Al-Nassr this season across all fronts.

Despite his age, the Portuguese talent remains one of the most prolific strikers in world football. Thus, Man United would do well to bring him back to Old Trafford at the end of this campaign.

His current contract at Al-Nassr will run out at the end of next season. Hence, the Red Devils could potentially sign him on a cut-price deal this summer.

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Bring Ronaldo Back?

Ronaldo remains a good finisher in front of the opponent’s goal. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to create some decent chances in the final third.

The Portuguese sensation is a powerful runner with the ball as well. Ronaldo already knows the Premier League well from his time at Man United and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club. However, he is a shadow of his former self and would struggle to earn first-team starts if the Red Devils manage to get him on board next summer.

We can expect Ronaldo to bring some firepower to Michael Carrick’s frontline in the short term. He is good enough to help the Red Devils compete for some major honours in the upcoming campaign.

At 40, Ronaldo is in the final stage of his playing career and would only serve as a short-term fix to the Mancunian club’s attacking concerns. Still, Carrick would be wise to bring him back to the Theatre of Dreams at the end of this campaign. However, Man United should only consider doing so if he is available for a reasonable fee. Another option for Carrick would be to opt for someone much younger later this year.
