Manor Solomon sent a message to the Leeds United fans after their comfortable win over Luton Town.
Leeds United’s Manor Solomon praised his teammates for their performance in the comfortable 3-0 win over Luton Town on Tuesday night.
The Whites have had a strong Championship season so far, and they moved back to the top of the league after an impressive showing against the Hatters.
Leeds went ahead thanks to a brilliant Sam Byram effort, with Joel Piroe making it two just before half-time. A fine Dan James goal then sealed the win late on to reflect just how dominant the hosts were.
Even though he didn’t get on the scoresheet, Solomon was a constant threat throughout, with his pace and direct style key to ensuring that Daniel Farke’s men kept the visitors pinned back.
And, taking to his Instagram story, the on-loan Spurs man shared a message to the fans after the three points.
“Top performance and another three points! Let’s keep it up.”
There was a lot of excitement when Leeds signed Solomon in the summer, as this is a player who has very good pedigree.
He was an influential player for Shakhtar after moving from Israel, and he showed his quality at times for Fulham, which prompted Spurs to bring him in last year.
However, his time in North London didn’t go to plan, with injuries restricting him to just five Premier League appearances last season.
Therefore, this campaign was all about playing regular football, and he is now showing his class at Elland Road.
Solomon is the ideal winger for Farke’s expansive style, and even though it has taken an injury to Largie Ramazani, he has really stepped up the past few games, with the high point so far undoubtedly the two goals he scored in the dramatic 4-3 win over Swansea.
He followed that up with a good showing against Luton, and he will now feel he is building momentum as he looks to help Leeds to promotion.
Of course, given the quality that Leeds have out wide, you aren’t going to play every minute of every game, but it’s about taking opportunities that come your way, which is exactly what Solomon has done.
Leeds made such light work of Luton last night, and they deservedly sit top of the Championship as we approach the crucial festive period.
Farke knows that promotion is a must this season, and whilst it’s competitive at the top, with Sheffield United and Burnley also very good sides, the reality is that Leeds look the real deal.
There are so many goals and different attacking threats in this team, and Farke has also found the right balance defensively and in midfield.
So, if they maintain these levels, Leeds are going to take some stopping, although we know how quickly things can change in the Championship.
