Marco Silva ‘to deliver’ Fulham answer on 28 May as Benfica wait | OneFootball

Benfica are on alert as Marco Silva is expected to give Fulham his answer on a contract renewal this Thursday, 28 May.

Record reports that the Portuguese coach, who said he would settle his future this week, has a meeting scheduled with the London club to communicate his decision.

Benfica await whether he remains at Fulham or pursues a new challenge. He has not closed the door on leaving England after five seasons with the club.

The report said a new four-year contract worth a net €7.2m per season is on the table. He currently earns about €5.8m, rising to €7.5m with bonuses.

Milan are also monitoring the former Sporting manager. Should Silva choose not to continue at Fulham, Benfica are expected to move only after resolving José Mourinho's situation. The ongoing impasse and Mourinho's silence have caused unease at Seixal.
