With a week to go before the transfer window closes, Roma are rushing to provide Gasperini with the final reinforcements.

Currently, the Giallorossi’s priorities are an attacking winger and a left-sided midfielder. Regarding the first option, Roma is exploring several names, including Carrasco.

Marcos Leonardo has been proposed from Saudi Arabia.

In fact, as reported by tuttomercatoweb.com, Al Hilal recently sold Kaio Cesar to Corinthians and are also reportedly ready to sell the former Benfica Brazilian.

Marcos Leonardos has reportedly been offered to Serie A clubs Roma and Napoli. CSKA Moscow is also interested in the player, having reportedly submitted an offer to the Saudi club.

The Brazilian is not a new name for Roma. Marcos Leonardo was actually close to wearing the Giallorossi jersey in the summer of 2023. In order to come to Italy, the player even skipped Santos’ training sessions.

In the end, however, Benfica won out, reaching an agreement with the Brazilian club.

The Brazilian will remain away from Trigoria, too. Indeed, at least in this transfer window, the Giallorossi no longer have any slots for non-EU players, and will therefore have to focus on other targets.
