According to L'Équipe, France head coach Didier Deschamps said on Monday that Marcus Thuram will miss Tuesday's World Cup last 16 against Sweden at 23:00, while N'Golo Kanté remains a doubt.
At his eve-of-match press conference, Deschamps explained that Thuram has a muscular issue that is not serious. He added that Kanté's problem is not muscular, and it may still be too soon for him to feature on Tuesday.

The 2018 World Cup winner is dealing with a knee complaint.
He is one of three outfield players yet to appear at this World Cup, alongside Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaïre-Emery.
Thuram is a forward, while Kanté operates in midfield.
