The scenario: the Black&Yellows have lost only one of their last 23 of their 23 Bundesliga matches across the seasons (on matchday 7 with a 2-1 loss in Munich). Statistics: Eintracht conceded 30 goals against in the first 15 matchdays (only Heidenheim have conceded more) – the highest number at this stage of the season in 41 years. Eintracht Frankfurt have already conceded eleven goals this season after losing possession. Borussia have concede 12 goals. They last conceded so few goals after 15 matchdays in 2010/11 (nine) and 2011/12 (ten).

Last season: BVB showed commitment, hitting the post in the ninth minute through Serhou Guirassy, and then conceded a goal by Hugo Etikite (18). After the break, Dortmund pressed for the equaliser, with Guirassy just missing Coutos' sharp cross and the potential 1-1 (59), but conceding a second goal in stoppage time after a Frankfurter counter attack, finished off by Højlund.

Biggest away win: BVB beat Eintracht twice with 4-0 in Frankfurt. On 6. June 1981,  Werner Schneider, Atli Edvaldsson and Rüdiger Abramczik, scored between the 12th and 17th minute, to give BVB an early lead. Exactly half an hour in, Hans-Joachim Wagner scored the 4-0 in front of 13.000 spectators. Six years later, on 17 June 1987, there were only 20.000 fans in the stadium, of which the great majority were supporting Dortmund who witnessed late goals by Norbert Dickel (60), Ingo Anderbrügge (63) and Frank Mill (88/89). This win extended BVB's win over Werder Bremen, who finished level in points, securing them the fourth place in the 1986/87 season, one year after narrowly escaping relegation.By Boris Rupert
