Left-back Matheus Bidu will miss Corinthians’ match against Athletico-PR on Thursday in the Campeonato Brasileiro as he continues to treat pain in the pubic area. He skipped Wednesday’s training and had already sat out Sunday’s game against Bahia, not travelling to Salvador.

He has been in treatment at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava this week. According to ge.globo, he stayed indoors and also missed Tuesday’s session, the penultimate before facing the Paranaense club.

The setback deepens Fernando Diniz’s selection issues. Fabrizio Angileri, who covered at Arena Fonte Nova, is suspended for accumulated yellow cards, while Hugo Farias remains in physical transition after knee surgery. Right-back Pedro Milans, who replaced Angileri in Salvador, is likely to be the makeshift option.

Corinthians are seeking to climb the table. After Sunday’s draw, they sit ninth on 28 points, three behind the G5, which grants a 2027 Libertadores berth.
