According to Globo.com, Matheuzinho will serve a two-match suspension, leaving Corinthians without him for the next two Brasileirão rounds. The right-back was booked then sent off in Sunday’s derby with Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena.

Already one caution from a ban, he was shown a yellow on 34 minutes of the first half for pulling Khellven’s shirt in his own half.

As it was his third yellow of the league campaign, he is unavailable for the trip to Vitória at Barradão next Saturday at 20:00 Brasília time, the 12th round.

On 24 minutes of the second half, Matheuzinho was dismissed for punching Flaco López in the face. He will therefore also miss Vasco on 26 April in Itaquera in the 13th round.

He was initially shown a second yellow and sent off. After a VAR review, referee Flávio Rodrigues de Souza upgraded it to a straight red, which does not cancel the yellow and adds a further one-match ban.
