Mathys Tel wants to join Manchester United | OneFootball

According to a report from Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel (19) wants to join Manchester United.

The Premier League side and their Bundesliga counterparts have been in concrete discussions over the Frenchman. Manchester United are looking to bolster their attacking options for the rest of the season as Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have both been linked with a move away.

Manchester United are reported to have sent a loan offer which was immediately rejected. Bayern Munich would prefer a deal which sees Tel either leave on loan with a mandatory purchase clause or an outright sale. Plettenberg writes that the negotiations are somewhat complicated but are ongoing. He also notes that Arsenal are still in the running.

Tel has been a target for several clubs across Europe this winter due to the lack of game time under Vincent Kompany. According to a report from Le Parisien, Tottenham Hotspur reached an agreement with Bayern Munich but were turned down by the player.
