Matthijs de Ligt agrees terms with Manchester United as move draws closer | OneFootball

According to a report from French media Foot Mercato, the deal taking Matthijs de Ligt (24) from Bayern Munich to Manchester United is edging ever closer.

After a difficult Premier League campaign last time out, Manchester United have made strengthening their defence a priority ahead of the upcoming season. Whilst the club made a bid for Lille OSC’s Leny Yoro (18), thought to be worth around €60m, according to Foot Mercato, a deal for Bayern Munich’s de Ligt is close to completion, with the Netherlands now out of Euro 2024.

The publication understands that the Dutch centre-back has already said yes to joining Manchester United this summer. Talks between the two clubs are also advancing positively with only minor financial details to be ironed out between Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

The deal is therefore close to being completed, Foot Mercato understands. The deal is estimated to be worth over €50m.
