Arsenal teenager Max Dowman has set a new record as the youngest player to win the Premier League title.

The North London side were confirmed as Premier League champions on Tuesday night, after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth. Arsenal’s title win ends a 22-year wait for Premier League success.

Their success also sees Dowman break another record, with the 16-year-old set to collect his Premier League winners’ medal this weekend.

Dowman has eclipsed Phil Foden as the youngest-ever Premier League winner, with Foden aged 17 years and 350 days when he won the first of his six league titles with Manchester City in 2017/18.

Dowman, who made his league debut in August, has made five substitute appearances in the league this season, scoring his first top-flight goal against Everton in March. He became the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer as a result.

He also became the Champions League’s youngest player, aged 15 years and 308 days, in November.
