The incident unfolded after MC Alger's victory over Paradou AC. Confronted by a journalist who accused him of "overpraising" his players despite, in the journalist's view, a still insufficient level of play, Rhulani Mokwena did not let it slide. True to his outspoken nature, the South African coach responded firmly:

"I am fortunate to have a different vision of football than yours. I work with the players every day, I see their progress, and it's my duty to support them. I watched last season's matches, and the difference in our play is clear, especially for several players."

An MCA transformed under his leadership

Behind these words, Mokwena stands by his belief: his squad is in the midst of a true evolution. Since his arrival, the Mouloudia Club d'Alger has shown impressive consistency, both in Ligue 1 Mobilis and on the African stage. Still unbeaten this season, MCA currently sits in third place in the league with 13 points from five matches and three games in hand.

Driven by a disciplined collective and an ambitious playing philosophy, the Algiers club seems to have rediscovered its stability and identity. While some still question their style of play, the results speak for themselves—and Mokwena remains convinced that the best is yet to come.
