Calum McFarlane’s update on Chelsea’s team to face Man City tomorrow brought positive news about Robert Sanchez.
The first choice keeper went off hurt against Nottingham Forest last week, and then missed the draw with Liverpool at the weekend. But it looks like he should be ready to go tomorrow.
According to the manager, the news on Sanchez is similar to that on Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho, Reece James and Levi Colwill – they all trained fully, and should be able to play:
“Yes [he may start], it’s the same news as the other lads, to be honest. Really positive, he’s trained well this week and we’re really hopeful to get him to Saturday.”
Considering he’s a goalkeeper we don’t see any reason why he might miss out – the outfielders might be more of a question mark. Right now we have few doubts it’ll be Sanchez between the sticks, even though McFarlane refused to confirm even that part of his team.
Alejandro Garnacho is pumped to play at Wembley tomorrow, and it’s increasingly looking like he will be fit to do so.
Calum McFarlane also answered questions about the game, including one amusing exchange we loved about his girlfriend and her team of choice.
