According to the English portal Football Insider, Nicolas Jackson is facing a possible early departure from FC Bayern – even though the 24-year-old attacker only moved to the Bundesliga from Chelsea FC in September on a one-year loan.

According to the report, Jackson could return to the Premier League as early as January. The reason: Bayern are said to have no interest in exercising the purchase option of around 65 million euros. Particularly explosive: Everton FC has already been named as a potential buyer.

The report claims that those responsible at the record champions do not see a long-term future for the Senegalese. The attacking player, who cost around 16.5 million euros on loan, has so far failed to make a lasting impression. In twelve competitive matches, Jackson has scored three goals and set up one goal.

Despite his pace and dynamism, Jackson does not appear to be playing a central role in Vincent Kompany’s system at present, having only made five appearances in the starting eleven so far.

No Bayern escape planned

According to BILD , however, there is no talk of an escape in January. Jackson himself is said to be fully focused on FC Bayern and wants to finish the current season successfully in Munich.

The striker’s goal is clear: he wants to recommend himself for a permanent contract after all through strong performances.

Pressure of competition growing – Musiala about to return

However, this will not be easy. With Jamal Musiala’s imminent comeback, competition in the attacking center is likely to increase further. Serge Gnabry is currently ahead in the ten position, while Luis Díaz and Michael Olise dominate on the wings.

And there is no way around Harry Kane in the center of attack anyway.

It will therefore be even more difficult for Jackson to get regular playing time in the new year – but the attacker is determined to fight his way through.
