Memphis has hired a marketing specialist to seek sponsors who could fund his wages and keep him at Corinthians beyond 20 June. According to Meu Timao, he is personally driving the effort.

The club and his camp are working together, aligning commercial returns and activation plans with brands.

At least six companies are in discussions. The board has not ruled out Ezze Seguros, a current shirt sponsor, though no renewal talks are under way.

Speculation rose on Saturday after a club video promoted an insurance plan from R$ 10 and highlighted Memphis, but any Ezze link is about him acting as ambassador for a new product.

After two months out, Memphis returned in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Atlético Mineiro and posted an image tied to Ezze’s campaign.

Corinthians have explored ways to extend his stay, but president Osmar Stabile and executive director Marcelo Paz say it depends on partners covering wages. Memphis has accepted a reduced package and met Gaviões da Fiel leaders.

Esportes da Sorte talks have cooled and they are unlikely partners. His September 2024 deal carries salary and image rights worth about R$ three million a month, plus signing and performance bonuses.

After their renewal, about R$ 57 million stopped being allocated solely to him. Any agreement must also address around R$ 40 million owed in accrued bonuses, and talks may run until the World Cup, when he could play without a club contract.
