Memphis suffers thigh discomfort, requests change after role in Corinthians equaliser against Flamengo | OneFootball

Memphis Depay felt right thigh discomfort and was withdrawn in the first half as Corinthians faced Flamengo at Neo Química Arena on Sunday in the eighth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Globo.com, the Dutch forward requested a substitution after playing a part in Corinthians' equaliser.

He produced a deft outside-of-the-boot pass to Matheus Bidu, whose cross allowed Yuri Alberto to level in Itaquera. At 20 minutes he signalled to come off.

He then sat on the turf for treatment, went straight to the dressing room, and returned to the bench in the second half after a shower.

The discomfort could be another concern for Dorival Júnior, who has already been without Kaio César in recent games due to a thigh oedema.
