Looking back at how our players performed during the 2025/26 season...
In positional order, we start with the men who have kept goal for the Blues during a campaign where two major trophies were won and a Premier League title race that almost went to the wire.

Games played:43
Clean sheets: 18
Goals conceded: 41
Saves: 99
Save percentage: 75.47%
Penalties saved: 2/4
Gianluigi Donnarumma arrived from PSG with a wealth of experience and big game knowhow.
The 27-year-old was given his City debut against Manchester United just days after his arrival and the Italian kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win.

Donnarumma made many crucial saves during the season, with his abilities in one v one situations among the best in the world.
Highlight
With City leading 2-1 at Anfield, Liverpool pressed for a late equaliser and, deep into added time, Alexis Mac Allister thought he’d done just that as he unleashed a powerful shot towards the top right corner of the City net.

But Donnarumma was equal to it, somehow getting across to claw the ball away and out for a corner to preserve a rare Anfield away win.
Games played: 17
Clean sheets: 8
Goals conceded: 13
Saves: 40
Save percentage: 75.47%
Penalties saved: 1/2
Passing accuracy: 74.33%
James Trafford started his second spell at City with a clean sheet in the 4-0 opening day win over Wolves.
He would play the opening three matches before the arrival of Donnarumma and almost exclusively thereafter kept goal during our Carabao Cup and FA Cup runs.

It’s no coincidence that the Blues won both those trophies with Trafford outstanding along the way to three Wembley appearances.
The fact he kept a clean sheet in both the Carabao Cup final and FA Cup final is a feat few goalkeepers will ever achieve in one season.
Highlight
His incredible triple save in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal – with the score still 0-0 – proved what a remarkable shot-stopper Trafford is.

Given the Blues went on to 2-0, it was a crucial and instinctive reaction from a goalkeeper who has deservedly gone to this summer’s World Cup.

This may take a few seconds. Press play when it’s ready.
