Yoane Wissa
It’s now open warfare between Yoane Wissa and Brentford. But the Congolese star looks set to come out on top in this battle.
After playing 35 matches and netting 19 goals in the Premier League during the 2024-2025 season, Yoane Wissa wants to leave Brentford this summer. However, following the departures of Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard—not to mention head coach Thomas Frank—Brentford are refusing to even discuss a transfer for the Congolese forward.
All this has infuriated the player, who is eager to join Newcastle as a replacement for Alexander Isak—at least according to Sky Sports. The outlet reports that the striker believes he was granted permission to leave last summer, a claim denied by the club’s management, and that he has no intention of returning to training or playing for the Bees again.
With just one year left on his contract, Yoane Wissa appears to hold all the cards, and Brentford will likely be forced to sell him in order to secure at least €30 million, matching his current market value.
