It was a busy day of MLS action headlined by a brace from Lionel Messi which put him top of the MLS Golden Boot race.
Here is how everything went down across all of Saturday evening's matches.

Tonight's results have also confirmed LAFC's place in the postseason.
Earlier tonight, the Vancouver Whitecaps set a new club record for most points in an MLS regular season (55).
They are now just five points away from Supporters' Shield leaders Philadelphia Union despite having played two fewer matches.

Cincinnati all but seal the victory as Brenner grabs a brace and Evander completes a hat-trick of assists.

Cristian Arango goes down in the box under seemingly minimal contact. Arango steps up and slots the resulting penalty into the bottom-left corner.

Brenner makes it two for Cincinnati as Evander grabs his second assist.

St. Louis double their lead in sensational fashion as Marcel Hartel scores a looping half-volley from outside the box. The goalkeeper had no chance!

Gabriel Pec cuts in off the right for the Galaxy, but his dipping left-footed effort is denied by the post.
GOAL FOR CINCINNATI
Cincinnati score an early goal of their own as Evander finds Ender Echenique with a well-weighted pass.
GOAL FOR ST. LOUIS
St. Louis open the scoring less than ten minutes into the match as João Klauss heads the ball across goal for Brendan McSorley to volley it home.
