According to L'Équipe, bottom-side Metz will be without Maxime Colin for at least three weeks with a calf injury, and midfielders Believe Munongo and Boubacar Traoré due to knee problems, for Sunday’s 17:15 Ligue 1 meeting with Paris FC.

Coach Benoît Tavenot adopted a resigned tone after detailing the absences. Metz are 17 matches without a win, with 13 defeats and four draws, and are already close to an immediate return to Ligue 2.

Traoré, on loan from Wolverhampton, has returned there for a decision on his meniscus and his season at Metz could already be over. Georgian forward Giorgi Abuachvili should also miss the Paris FC game.

There is a small positive. Benjamin Stambouli, 35, featured for the reserves last Saturday in a 2-1 win over Balagne and should get minutes in Ligue 1.

He is not expected to start, having not played since 6 February against Lille, 0-0. He remained on the bench in last Friday’s 1-3 defeat at Marseille.
