Serie A side Milan are in line to seal a possible transfer for Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski.
According to a report by Milannews.it, the Rossoneri have identified Lewandowski as a transfer target for the summer, and they might not need to dig into their resources much as his contract ends this June.
The Polish stalwart is yet to decide on his future, and Barcelona have not started any renewal talks with him. This situation has opened up an opportunity for European clubs to make a swoop for the player.
Lewandowski’s age is the biggest factor here, as Milan are hoping that there will be far less competition for the striker, unlike other targets.
The 37-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Blaugrana since his transfer from Bayern Munich, after completing eight years at the club.
Apart from Lewandowski, Milan are also probing the likes of Mateo Retegui, Dusan Vlahovic, Moise Kean and Romelu Lukaku.
