Milan make initial contact for Juventus’ Weston McKennie | OneFootball

Milan have initiated preliminary contact to explore the possibility of signing Weston McKennie on a free transfer when his contract with Juventus expires in the summer of 2026.

According to Daniele Longo, the American midfielder has officially entered the Rossoneri’s shortlist of targets for the midfield. Milan are currently performing evaluations on the 27-year-old, viewing him as a potential market opportunity alongside Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka.

The club’s management is looking to bolster the squad with experienced profiles who could arrive without a transfer fee.

However, Milan face significant competition for the former Schalke man. Roma have also shown interest, while several Premier League clubs and MLS franchises are monitoring his situation closely. Despite the mounting external pressure, Juventus are not ready to let him walk away easily and are reportedly preparing a new contract offer to convince him to stay in Turin. Consequently, McKennie must now weigh his options as he approaches the final year of his current deal.
