Serie A side Milan are currently exploring the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund man Serhou Guirassy in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are looking to sign a reliable striker this summer and Dortmund’s Guirassy heads their wishlist. The Guinea international has played in the Ligue 1 and has been in the Bundesliga for three years now, delivering consistently upfront with goals. However, he has failed to acquire a single trophy under his name.
Guirassy has understood the fact that with Bayern Munich in the league, it is virtually impossible to win silverware, and therefore, this desire could help the Rossoneri lure him to Milanello in the summer.
Milan has almost secured their striker in January in Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace, but a knee injury led the club to cancel the transfer after medicals. The Frenchman remains out of the list for the Italian side as he is yet to undergo surgery, and Milan do not want a player with physical problems.
Guirassy’s potential transfer would satisfy the Rossoneri’s demand for a forward who can make an immediate impact at the club. With his age nearing 30, the Dortmund man is not expected to be a long-term solution, but will be enough to settle in the league right in and deliver results.
