The Rossoneri currently occupy seventh place in Serie A with 34 points, thanks to nine wins and seven draws in 21 matches played. They have scored 32 goals and conceded 23. AC Milan's January started with Sergio Conceicaco installed as their new coach. The Portuguese, a former Nerazzurri player, managed to win the Supercoppa Italiana, which came after victories against Juventus and Inter. On their return from Riyadh, AC Milan drew against Cagliari, won against Como away and lost in the big match against Juventus in Turin. The Rossoneri then found the three points in the Champions League by winning 1-0 at home against Girona. Then the 3-2 win over Parma, decided by goals from Tijjani Reijnders and Samuel Chukwueze, and finally, in the Champions League, they fell against Dinamo Zagreb, therefore forced to take part in the play-offs against Feyenord. The Rossoneri's goals are evenly distributed: the top scorers are Pulisic and Reijnders with six goals, then Morata with five and Leao with four. The 4-2-3-1 is Conceicao's likely choice for the Derby, with Bennacer and Musah in the middle, Leao, Reijnders and Pulisic in support of Abraham. Fofana will not be in the match due to disqualification and Emerson Royal, Florenzi and Thiaw will be out with injuries. The situation for Gabbia and Loftus-Cheek is unclear.
