Milan will take another stab at trying to find a prolific striker, and they’ll work predominantly on Gonçalo Ramos, who has been strongly suggested by Ruben Amorim, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Rossoneri are ready to table their first formal offer. Despite his role at PSG, his valuation is significant. He was signed for €65M plus €15M add-ons in 2023. The Serie A club has been in touch with his agent, Jorge Mendes. His personal terms won’t be an obstacle. An agreement could be struck at around €4M per year.
Milan will have to spend €45M or so to snap up Ramos. The gaffer and the ownership are confident he’ll be up to the task. If he succeeded, he’d take care of the role for the foreseeable future, as he’s 25. They’ll have to move quickly, as there are other suitors.
The forward bloomed at Benfica in 2022/2023, notching 22 goals and 6 assists. He has mostly been a valuable reserve and super-sub during his time in the French capital. He has hit the net 45 times and provided 10 helpers in 131 appearances.
In the role, the Rossoneri could sell Santiago Gimenez, but the recent links to Porto and the Chicago Fire have been dismissed. Christian Pulisic has received a strong offer from the New York City FC, but the team wants to keep him. Christopher Nkunku will likely stay.
He didn’t make the final leap when he leveled up, but he has the right traits to do well in Serie A. Still, if they can throw that kind of money around, they can find more surefire options.
