Toronto FC leading scorer Federico Bernardeschi could miss out on Saturday's home clash against FC Charlotte while Reds teammate Richie Laryea has been cleared for action for the first time since early March.

With four goals and four assists, Bernardeschi has been involved in one shy of half of Toronto's 18 total goals this season. He's officially listed as questionable with a lower-body issue on the MLS Player Status Report for Matchday 17.

Meanwhile, Laryea has been removed from the report for the first time since the wingback was forced off with a hamstring issue 23 minutes into the Reds' second match of the season, a 4-2 loss at Orlando City on March 1.

Toronto manager Robin Fraser did not guarantee Laryea's return against The Crown, but at this point, it appears more a matter of match fitness rather than health.

DeJuan Jones joins list of injured key San Jose players

Right back DeJuan Jones will miss the San Jose Earthquakes' trip to St. Louis City with a lower-body injury he may have picked up in midweek.

Jones' arrival in San Jose at the close of the MLS primary transfer window has coincided with the Quakes' most consistent form under new manager Bruce Arena.

San Jose is unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions, and their only loss since signing Jones came 2-1 to his former Columbus Crew teammates in his Quakes debut.

San Jose has also been playing without leading scorer Cristian Arango (lower body) since he scored the opening goal in a 3-3 draw against Inter Miami on May 14.

Houston Dynamo's Lawrence Ennali could make 2025 debut

Manager Ben Olsen's Houston Dynamo are suddenly rolling, and could conceivably get even stronger in Saturday's home tilt against Sporting Kansas City.

The Dynamo are unbeaten with 10 points taken in their last four league fixtures and have seen considerable improvement in the quality of their play with the spring additions of Ondrej Lingr and Duane Holmes. And now attacker Lawrence Ennali has been upgraded to questionable for the first time since he suffered a torn ACL in his second MLS appearance last August.

The now 23-year-old German Ennali showed considerable menace in five appearances for Houston last year between MLS and the Leagues Cup. He got his first MLS goal in his final outing, off the bench in a 2-0 home win over LAFC, but then suffered his injury and couldn't complete the match.
