Manchester United remain on the hunt for an elite striker ahead of the new season with Fiorentina’s Moise Kean among the names being monitored.

His record of a mere four goals in 39 games for Everton indicates that he might not be the best option for Ruben Amorim, who needs a ruthless finisher to replace the woeful Rasmus Hojlund.

But the 25-year-old’s improved form for his new club, scoring 25 goals in all competitions along with three assists, has given all his suitors food for thought.

As per Corriere Fiorentino, Galatasaray have also entered the race for the Italian, after running into problems with Napoli over paying the release clause of Victor Osimhen.

Gala enter Moise Kean race

The 6ft striker now has a variety of clubs to choose from, but he also remaining open to the idea of staying in Florence.

The ex-Juventus ace’s contract contains a release clause worth €52 million, which as previously relayed by The Peoples Person, is valid until the 15th of this month.

In other words, Moise Kean and his future could be decided within the next six days. He either stays in Italy, or moves to the Premier League or to Turkey.

“It’s not just Manchester United: Galatasaray has made a strong move for Moise Kean (who Napoli has also been pursuing in recent days).

“Yesterday, the Turkish club made contact with the Viola striker’s agent, in which the Istanbul club made clear their desire to bring Kean home. To do so, they are also ready to pay the €52 million release clause.

Fiorentina will only sell for release clause

“Kean, in fact, as mentioned, wants to evaluate everything. Without running the risk of making the most important decision of his career and, it’s worth reiterating, without ruling out the possibility of staying in Florence.

“Fiorentina knows this, remains ready to propose a contract adjustment, and hopes that Moise and his agent will keep their promise to leave, if anything, only with the clause.”

There is also interest from Saudi Arabia, while it was relayed that the striker’s wage demands are considerable.

However, given United’s failure to land any of their top striker targets so far, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they could go after the Vercelli-born ace.

Fans are growing impatient by the minute. Ollie Watkins remains another name on the club’s radar while free agents like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jamie Vardy and Callum Wilson have also been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
