Introduced after Ousmane Dembélé’s injury at 26 minutes, Doué proved decisive as PSG won 3-2 at Monaco, while Faes endured a tough Champions League debut. The substitute scored and was central to the decisive move.
L'Équipe’s player ratings underlined Doué’s impact and Faes’s difficulties on his first appearance at this level. Doué now has six goals in the Champions League knockout phase.
Balogun headed in from Golovine after one minute, then made it 2-0 on 18 following a one-two with Akliouche. Moments later Faes lost the ball then lunged to concede a penalty on 21, but Köhn parried Vitinha’s spot kick on 22.
Doué reduced the deficit on 29, Köhn then denied him before Hakimi levelled on 41. Golovine was sent off for a stamp on 46, leaving Monaco with 10.
Doué evaded L. Camara in the build-up to the winner on 67. Monaco switched to a back five on 70 with Zakaria dropping into defence, and Köhn saved late from Barcola on 81 and Lee on 90+3, also commanding his area on 90+2.
