AS Monaco have let it be known that they are in the market for a striker this January. Folarin Balogun has undergone shoulder surgery following his dislocation at the start of October and is not expected to return until April, according to manager Adi Hütter.
As a result, Hütter said that Monaco would actively scour the market in January in order to find a replacement, likely on loan. A move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani has been touted, however, he certainly isn’t a cheap option and PSG aren’t looking for a simple loan deal amid intense interest from the Premier League.
Another target has now emerged, according to Mohamed Toubache-Ter – Manfred Ugalde (22). The Costa Rica international moved to Spartak Moscow from FC Twente at the start of 2024. This season, he has 15 goals in 18 league games. Monaco are sounding out the possibility of a move for the striker as they look to provide extra competition for Breel Embolo and George Ilenikhena.
