AS Monaco head into Saturday's match against Ligue one leaders Lens short of attacking options. Get French Football News reports that several forwards are doubts or unavailable.
Maghnes Akliouche went off injured at Nantes last Friday, then featured against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek despite hip pain. Pocognoli said on Thursday that the France international is again a doubt for the weekend, with his hip still troubling him.
Takumi Minamino remains a long-term absentee, and Pocognoli indicated he likely will not play again for Monaco this season. There is, however, hope that he could feature for Japan at this summer's World Cup.
Aleksandr Golovin misses out through suspension. He was dismissed for two quick yellow cards, both for dissent, against Nantes, then also received a straight red against PSG in the UEFA Champions League in midweek. With three assists in his past two matches, Pocognoli described the loss as frustrating and said they can expect greater leadership from him in heated moments.
Ansu Fati sat out the PSG game and remains uncertain to face Les Sang et Or. His return would offer a lift in a department Monaco usually staff well, but which is now stretched.
