AS Monaco face a fresh worry over Maghnes Akliouche before their UEFA Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain, after he went off during Friday night’s 3-1 win against Nantes. According to Get French Football News, the club already have several absentees for the tie.
Akliouche was replaced by Mamadou Coulibaly just before half-time.
“Maghnes is not the kind of player to ask to come off like that. It isn’t in his character,” said Sébastien Pocognoli. He added that the issue was muscular and that Akliouche would undergo further tests.
Lamine Camara was also withdrawn after what appeared to be an injury, having clutched his ankle following a duel.
Pocognoli voiced surprise that a foul was not awarded for the incident, and said Camara’s substitution was chiefly about prevention.
