AS Monaco defender Kassoum Ouattara (21) is nearing a switch to Turkish club Beşiktaş, according to a report from Nice-Matin.
There has been plenty of movement in the left-back slot at Monaco and it isn’t finished yet. Earlier this week, Caio Henrique left Les Monégasques to join Ajax Amsterdam on a permanent deal. On Tuesday, Monaco then confirmed the arrival of Nazinho from Cercle Brugge.
Given Henrique’s departure, it was initially anticipated that Ouattara would be retained, however, the Frenchman is keen on the move to the Turkish club. Nice-Matin understands that the left-back has an agreement in place with Beşiktaş, despite interest from newly promoted Premier League side Hull City.
Negotiations between clubs are ongoing, however, an agreement is close. The deal is expected to be worth around €8m, with a further €2m in add-ons. A sell-on percentage is also being negotiated. Despite the arrival of Nazinho, the signing of another left-back would become a priority, in the event that Ouattara’s exit is confirmed.
