Monaco will be without full-back Kassoum Ouattara for several weeks with a calf injury, and Ansu Fati will miss Thursday’s Coupe de France tie against RC Strasbourg Alsace. According to Get French Football News, both are dealing with calf problems, though Fati’s absence is not a long-term one.

Ouattara was absent from Wednesday afternoon training and will sit out the Strasbourg match as well as the coming weeks. Fati, the Barcelona loanee, was withdrawn at half-time of the 4-0 win over Stade Rennais at the weekend.

There was some encouragement on Thursday as Wout Faes and Christian Mawissa took part in training, although neither finished the session. Both are considered to be progressing.

Faes is closer to a return. Greater caution is being taken with Mawissa, who has had repeated muscular issues.

Folarin Balogun was also in training after being forced off with a thigh injury against Rennes.
