Monza are reportedly preparing for talks with Lorenzo Insigne’s agent as the Italian winger wants to leave Toronto FC this month.
Monza have joined the race to sign Italy international Insigne, and according to Gazzetta, club directors will hold talks with the player’s entourage in the coming days.
Gazzetta reiterates that Insigne has asked to leave Toronto FC in January, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll agree to join the struggling Brianzoli.

Monza sit at the rock bottom of the Serie A table, seven points below a survival placement. Their new coach, Salvatore Bocchetti, hired as a replacement for Alessandro Nesta two weeks ago, has lost his first two games in charge.
Insigne’s salary is another negotiation issue, although no Serie A club can afford his €15m wages.
This means the ex-Napoli star necessarily needs to cut his salary if he wants to return to Italy in the current transfer window.
At least four other Serie A clubs, including Como and Fiorentina, have been linked with securing the 33-year-old’s services this month.
