After a season that fell below expectations, Florentino Perez has begun outlining his vision for the future of Real Madrid, promising significant reinforcements and a new chapter for the club.
The Real Madrid president has made it clear that changes are on the horizon in the wake of the presidential election.
With supporters demanding improvements across the squad, Perez has reassured fans that major moves are already being planned behind the scenes.
Speaking about Real Madrid’s transfer strategy in an interview with AS, the president sent a strong message regarding the club’s ambitions in the market and hinted at several high-profile arrivals.
When asked whether supporters should expect big-name additions, Perez left little doubt about his intentions.
“As long as I remain president, the best players in the world will play here. And for next season, we’re going to strengthen the team with top players across all positions.”
The most eye-catching claim involved Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, whom Perez openly backed to become a Real Madrid player.
“I can assure you that if I remain president of Real Madrid, one of the world’s top defenders, Konate, will play for Real Madrid starting next season.
“And he won’t be the only top defender to join us if I stay at the helm of Real Madrid.”

The Real Madrid president then reinforced the idea that more arrivals are expected.
“More will come. That’s for sure. Everyone who knows me knows that great players want to play for Real Madrid, and so do I. And they know I make it happen.”
Perez also addressed the future of Nico Paz, one of the club’s most highly-rated academy graduates.
While no final decision has been made, Real Madrid continue to hold a buy-back option on the midfielder following his impressive campaign with Como.
“Nico Paz is one of those great players who came up through our youth system and is now a player that top European clubs are fighting over.
“He’s had a great season with Como in Italy, and as you know, we have the option to sign him this year. We’ll decide that with the coach and the coaching staff.”
Beyond the transfer promises, Perez also spoke about several key figures who could define Real Madrid’s future.
One of the most surprising statements involved Jose Mourinho, whom Perez has already announced as his new manager.
“Mourinho is one of the world’s greatest coaches and was very important to Real Madrid during his time with us. He was the coach of that famous ‘League of Records’ team.
“He instilled a very high level of competitiveness in the team, and that was crucial for everything we achieved afterwards. Mourinho and Konaté are my first signings.”

Perez also moved to reassure supporters regarding Vinicius Jr.’s future amid ongoing speculation surrounding his contract situation.
“Vini is one of the best players in the world and he’s thrilled to be a Real Madrid player. He’s been instrumental in winning the last two Champions League titles, and he has one year left on his contract.
“There’s still time, but I can tell you that Vinicius wants to stay at Real Madrid, and I want him to stay.”
The club president was equally supportive when discussing Kylian Mbappe and the star-studded attacking trio that includes Jude Bellingham and Vinicius.
“Mbappe is also one of the best players in the world. You only have to look at his stats to see the magnitude of our player.
“Nobody should question the stature of such an extraordinary player. He’s going to give us a lot and I’m sure he’ll be a huge success at Real Madrid.”
He then finished by making it clear that the club’s biggest stars remain central to the project.
“We’re talking about extraordinary players. Players that every big club in the world would want, and we’re lucky enough to have them at Real Madrid.
“Of course, they’re going to stay at Real Madrid,” he noted.
