AC Milan have secured a signing for the future as Astin Mbaye will arrive from the United States on a free transfer, a journalist has claimed.
Given that Milan Futuro was created last year and required the talent pool that Milan have to be spread out a bit more, there has been a conscious effort to restock the academy with players for the future.
According to the latest from Matteo Moretto, Milan have an agreement in place for the 16-year-old Astin Mbaye. He will arrive for free from the New York Red Bulls Academy, and he is of course a signing for the youth sector.
Mbaye is of Senegalese origin and he turned 16 yesterday, which is perhaps why the news is now coming to light. He is a central defender who can play on either side, and he made six appearances for the USA’s U15 national team – scoring one goal – before recently being promoted to the U16s.
