Mourinho says Farioli will win the league | OneFootball

José Mourinho says he expects Porto coach Francesco Farioli to win the league, while sidestepping claims the Italian is the “new José Mourinho”.

"Francesco Farioli the new José Mourinho? I do not want to go too far, but I think he will deservedly win the league. He will be champion. You may or may not like how he plays or how he communicates, but, in the end, whoever wins is right," he told Sport Mediaset.

Despite remaining unbeaten in the league, Mourinho’s Benfica still trail leaders Porto.

Mourinho had been in Milan on Tuesday for a commercial event announcing a deal with Prima Assicurazioni, not linked to any Real Madrid negotiations.

Benfica’s next match is away to Famalicão on Saturday, two May, in Liga Portugal Betclic matchday 32, with kick-off at 18:00 at Estádio Municipal 22 de junho in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
